Belfast Healthy Cities to Co-host the 5th Health Literacy UK Conference

The one day conference is the largest gathering of the health professionals who make up the Health Literacy Group UK, and will take place in Riddel Hall, Queen's University, Belfast on Friday 16th February 2018.
The conference will be an opportunity to share current health literacy thinking, practice and research from across the UK and European, as well as networking with key experts in health literacy
The full conference agenda will be published in the coming months, but Conference Highlights include a number of high profile speakers:
- Professor Don Nutbeam, Professor of Public Health, Sydney
- Dr. Michael McBride, Chief Medical Officer, Northern Ireland
Abstract Submission
The call for abstracts is now open and closes 12pm Wednesday 1st November 2017.
The abstract submission guidelines are available on the health literacy website or by emailing HL-UK chair, Jo Protheroe.
We welcome applications for oral presentations and posters on:
- Health Literacy research and development
- Innovative and exciting Health Literacy practices
Booking
The delegate rate for full day including tea, coffee and lunch is £100, and local arrangements will be managed by Belfast Healthy Cities.
