Every year, Belfast Healthy Cities promotes the work done to make Belfast and Northern Ireland healthier through our WHO Belfast Healthy City Awards and the WHO Healthy City Explorer Bursary.
The WHO Belfast Healthy City Awards recognise the work done by groups across the city to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Belfast. The awards have marked the achievements of some of the most innovative, inclusive and interesting healthy living and space projects in our city.
The annual WHO Healthy City Explorer Bursary was launched as part of Belfast Healthy Cities’ 25 anniversary celebrations. It supports a study visit to a European Healthy City to explore their approach to addressing a key issue relating to health inequalities.
